steel-making company in India is in the process of modernizing and expanding
its production units, raw material resources and other facilities to maintain
its dominant position in the Indian steel market.
Raw Materials Division (RMD), the controlling unit of captive
mines of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) invites applications for
eligible persons to fill up different posts that are listed in below table

Age
Limit: 18 to 28 years as on 01-02-2014.
Relaxation
in upper age limit:
Ø Upper age limit is relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for
OBC candidates with respect to posts reserved for them.
Ø Ex-servicemen candidates will be granted age relaxation as per
government rules.
Qualification:
1. Mining Foreman:
1. Mining Foreman:
Ø Candidates must be a holder of Matriculation and Diploma in
Mining.
Ø Mining Foreman’s Certificate of Competency under
MMR 1961 from the Competent Authority Essential Qualification as
on 01.02.2014 Post qualification.
Ø Experience of minimum 1 yr in the capacity of Mining
Foreman Experience as on 01.02.2014.
2. Mining
Mate:
Ø Candidates be a holder of Matriculation.
Ø Mining Mate’s Certificate of Competency under MMR 1961
from the Competent Authority Essential Qualification as on
01.02.2014.
Ø Post qualification experience of minimum 1 yr in
the capacity of Mining Mate Experience as on 01.02.2014.
Pay
Scale:
1. Mining
Foreman: Rs.9160/- – 3% Rs.13150/-
2. Mining
Mate: Rs.8630/- – 3% Rs.12080/-Probation Period:
Ø Candidates selected for the above posts shall be placed under
probation for a period of 01 year.
Application
Fee:
Ø Candidates should have to pay the fee of Rs.250/- for the post of
Mining Foreman and Rs.150/- for the post of Mining Mate as Application and
Processing fee for General/OBC candidates.
Ø SC/ST candidates to possess Pay in Slip of Rs.50/- only as
Processing fee.
Ø The Pay in Slip can be downloaded from the website after filling
the required details.
Application
Mode:
Candidates will have to bear the Bank Charges Rs.20/- and the fee
has to be paid to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the
applicable Application/ Processing fee.
